emily kate hicks
(she/they)
and i am an artist / animator / motion graphics editor / director / designer living on gadigal land (sydney, australia).
I studied a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment maj. in Animation from QANTM/SAE, and a post graduate certificate in Creative Industries from QUT. Since graduating in 2015 I have been doing freelance illustration, 2d animation, motion graphics, storyboarding, and direction. A lot of clients I have worked with are within the creative industries; bands/musicians, record labels, music PR, fellow creatives, venues, bars, charities / non-profit. Some of my specialties include 2d animation + motion graphics, character animation / design, directing and honing a strong visual narrative, and production design.

In my spare time I love making art and things, playing guitar, watching cartoons, seeing live music, and shooting film on vintage cameras.
